Did Nazareth, or SAHB, ever use any funny, or play-on-words, names for any of their tracks?

We had a few with Naz during gigs. Broken Down Anglia, My Wife’s Bisexual and Love Leads to Agnes spring to mind but we also referred to I want to (Do everything for you) simply as Joe Tex. One reason was our version was based on the artist (and writer) Joe’s original and secondly it was much easier to write on our set list. With SAHB, not so much. Their titles were usually one or two words so Vambo, Delilah and Framed or even Gang Bang were not so easily fucked with. One exception however was There’s No Lights on the Christmas tree Mother, They’re burning Big Louie tonight was shortened to Big Louie, for obvious reasons.

Hi Billy, some good tales in here mate, loving it! My first real playing gig was at the Plough inn (Perth). We were first on supporting Arisaig and The Sleaze Band. We were called Angel. Drummer was coming up from Fife and was running late. Someone suggested a van breakdown and of course the shout went up “Ahahaha, brokendown angel, ahaha”. Fud. So when drummer did turn up we opened with Dear John’. But we ‘had’ to BDA later. I ended up playing thru Manny’s Marshall stack, bought out of Ink Music in Dunfy? Man, that was loud as fuck! Covered in Mountain Management stencils. Happy(ish) days. Keep up the good work, lad.
