Hi Billy, I’m currently reading an article in Classic Rock mag about the 40th anniversary of Pete Townsend’s Empty Glass album, which has Rough Boys on it. You joined Naz not that long after the LP was released and RB was the last track on the tape played before the band came on stage for years. Was Rough Boys your suggestion?
No, I didn’t choose it, Manny was in charge of the half hour tape before we went on and I remember our tour manager Harry would shout “Ells Bells!” then “Ruff!” to indicate when we’d have to make our way stage-wards. Interesting aside: Harry used to be Pete Townsend’s personal assistant with The Who.
